Rate of Pay:

$20.45

•23.01 No Driver's License Required. AA with 6 months of childcare experience, or BA in Early Childhood (a combination of education with 6 months to 1 year of experience) is required. Meet the needs of all children including those at risk, those with special needs, those who are gifted, and those who are culturally diverse. Knowledge of computer applications to include word processing, database and/or data entry, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook is required. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved. Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Reservation's Personnel Policies. Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks. Subject to immunizations review and submitted proof of required vaccinations. Some travel is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Normal physical requirements, including the ability to lift, carry, or restrain a child. Walking, standing, bending, and sitting on the floor with children may be necessary. Ability to pass annual physical examination. All vaccinations must be kept current. Implements a child development program for children: Actively advocate and demonstrate appropriate adult-child interaction. Develop lesson plans according to curriculum. Follow food program requirements. Assess child progress and needs using the classroom observations. Adapt the environment to meet the needs of all children using developmentally appropriate practice and culturally responsive care giving. Follow all health, nutrition, and safety guidelines for an optimal classroom environment. Carry out activities related to health, e.g. toileting, diapering, safety in classroom, dental hygiene, and nutrition activities. Maintain professional standard towards confidential relationships with all program participants and staff. Implement positive behavior management techniques. Support families by sharing information on child development. Follow the program plan of the Director and support staff. Implement age-appropriate activities. Implement cultural activities by following the Cultural Learning Plan. Participate in staff meetings. Required to follow curriculum. Required to follow the Cultural Learning Plan. Promote cooperative and quality early childhood philosophy among staff, parents, collaborative partners, and community.

Promote staff development:

Attend training and education opportunities as required. Be familiar with the Fond du Lac Reservation policies.

Provision/Assurance of Services:

Appropriate work attire is required. Must attend all mandatory department trainings. Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees and/or clients. Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems. Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers. Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community. Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
