The school enrolls more than 200 students from sixteen-months-old through eighth grade. MRM is an inspired community of students, educators, and families coming together to empower students to transform the world into a better place for all. The foundation of the school's educational philosophy is the more than 100-years-old Montessori method. About the Child Care Assistant /Float Position:
The Child Care Assistant works with students toddler-8th grade in various classroom and child care environments. Part of your day will have assigned spaces to be in while other parts of your day may be variable, subbing in different classrooms who may have teachers absent, or helping make classroom materials, etc. Status The Child Care Assistant / Float is an hourly, non-exempt position offered on a part-time or full-time basis. Immediate Start Details Hours determined upon hire. One all-staff meeting per month from 5:30-7:00 PM. Occasional evening hours and or professional development days. Responsibilities may include Support classroom management and learning. Assist with transitioning children to outside play, indoor activities, clean up, arrivals, dismissal and other transitions. Be part of the aftercare team Assist with providing breaks to other staff members. Assist with nap room supervision. Assist with laundry and dishes. Nurture the growth of the students and support their independence. Ensure physical and emotional safety for the students. Works at least one of the periods known as Winter Break (February), and Spring Break (April). Complete others tasks as assigned by the Head of School and Operations Manager. Attend staff meetings and other key school events as directed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred but not required - this is a great job for a college student Ability to pass a background check is required Previous experience working with children Consistency in behavior and temperament Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, genuine and joyful nature, and quiet and welcoming manner with children Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage from $17.50/hr to $21.40/hr.
