Performs a wide range of duties relating to the care of children 0•7 years of age, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment that promotes each child's individual development through daily care routines and age appropriate activities in cooperation with fellow team members and parents, as well as assisting Area Leaders in any appropriate way to carry on the program or when Area Leaders are absent, at all times promoting the goals and philosophy of the Child Care Center and Essentia Health.
Required Education:

Must fulfill one of the following A. Minnesota technical institute certificate as a child development assistant. Plus 520 hours experience as an aide or student intern. B. Two years full time post-secondary education from a college or university. Plus 1,040 hours as an aide or student intern, Plus 9 quarter credits from post secondary institution in Child Development or related courses. C. Child Development Associate credential from the Council on Early Childhood Professional Recognition. D. Certificate or credential from a two-year program in child development at a Minnesota community college or technical college. E. Baccalaureate degree in any field from an accredited college or university, including 9 quarter credits in Early Childhood or related courses. 2. Caregiving knowledge of children 0•7 years of age.
