Responsibilities Help the Lead Teacher implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of young children, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and active participation. Supervise and interact with the children in all areas of the program, outdoors and during field trips. Utilize effective behavior management and classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and engagement. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Be an example of professional behavior and model a professional attitude toward the program, the children and colleagues. Maintain accurate records of child development assessments, standardized testing results, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Be familiar with and adhere to the program's policies, health and safety regulations and emergency procedures. Be ready to implement if necessary. Attend staff meetings and stay current on all required certifications Preform housekeeping and other tasks as needed to support the program Skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators to create a supportive learning environment. Ability to relate to children and colleagues with empathy, stability and emotional maturity. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, teachers, and staff in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to supervise children responsibly while maintaining patience and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
