Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. Right now we are looking for someone that would be a good fit in our School Age classroom, ideally transitioning into an assistant preschool teacher while kiddos are in school. We are looking for a candidate that has experience working with school age children. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children, fostering their social and emotional development through teachable moments. This role requires strong classroom management skills, an understanding of child welfare, and the ability to effectively communicate with both children and parents. Duties Implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning in various developmental areas Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all children. Foster social and emotional development through interactive play and educational activities. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns related to behavior or development. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space that encourages exploration and creativity. Observe and assess children's progress, adapting teaching & response methods to meet individual needs. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children in the daycare. Experience Previous experience working with children of this age in a daycare or educational setting is strongly preferred Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques. Knowledge of child welfare practices and the ability to create a safe learning environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
