Full-Time Position Summary The Preschool Teacher supports 3 year olds in achieving developmental milestones, fostering a love of learning and growing, while ensuring an understanding of the world around them and how to relate to others. This position ensures continuity of care, maintains high-quality programming, and upholds licensing, safety, and center policies when permanent staff are absent or additional coverage is required. The Preschool Teacher is a reliable, adaptable educator who builds positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Job Responsibilities Plan weekly lessons in compliance with MN Early Childhood Standards Faciliate parent-teacher conferences twice a year Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment Supervise children at all times and ensure active, appropriate guidance Assist with diapering, toileting, meal and nap routines as needed. Follow all mn licensing regulations, center policies, and procedures Maintain accurate classroom documentation (attendance, incident reports, daily logs) Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are consistently met Team Collaboration Communicate effectively with classroom aides and leadership Model professional behavior and best practices Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers and aides Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff Family Engagement Greet families warmly and communicate daily information as needed Answer basic parent questions and direct concerns to leadership when appropriate Required Qualifications Strong knowledge of child development and classroom management Ability to adapt quickly and work in multiple classrooms CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Active role requiring standing, bending, lifting children, and floor work Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Indoor and outdoor supervision in various weather conditions
