Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Elementary Extended Day Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for elementary students during after-school hours. Duties Supervise elementary students during extended day hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Facilitate engaging indoor and outdoor activities Manage behavior using positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques Support classroom management by collaborating with teachers and staff to maintain a structured environment Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings, childcare, camp programs, or youth groups is preferred. Demonstrated skills in classroom management, behavior management, and child supervision Knowledge of early childhood development and childhood education best practices Experience facilitating youth programs or extracurricular activities such as sports coaching, theater arts, or tutoring Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED operation is required; additional certifications in special education or youth development are a plus Outdoor work experience or familiarity with outdoor activity supervision is advantageous
