Conduct ongoing assessments of child progress using standardized testing methods and child development benchmarks to tailor instruction effectively. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns. Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, incident reports, and child welfare records in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities that promote social-emotional learning and early intervention strategies for children with special needs. Ensure classroom safety by adhering to health guidelines, including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Knowledge of early intervention practices, special education needs, and literacy education strategies tailored for young learners. Certification in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to foster an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Prior experience with Montessori methods or preschool teaching certifications is highly desirable.
