A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.
Adventures In Learning Childcare Center is seeking an energetic and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our growing team. This role supports children across all developmental stages within our center, from infancy through preschool, by providing nurturing care and engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Koala's Cradle (0-12 months) Turtle's Terrace (12-24 months) Lion's Lair (24-36 months) Elephant's Enclave (36+ months) Educators may be placed in any classroom based on center needs, experience, and expressed preference. Key Responsibilities Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with the developmental needs of assigned classroom(s) Foster emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning, storytelling, creative expression, and structured activities Provide attentive, nurturing care to support children's well-being and daily routines Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment Manage daily schedules including meals/snacks, learning blocks, rest periods, and outdoor play Observe and document developmental milestones; maintain accurate records including attendance, incident reports, and parent communication Collaborate with fellow educators and communicate professionally with families Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and state childcare requirements Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; coursework in early childhood education strongly preferred Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children in a professional childcare or educational setting Ability to work with children of varying ages and developmental stages Must pass background check, drug screening, and all state-required clearances CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and creating a respectful learning environment Benefits Include Paid time off and parental leave Employee childcare discount Tuition reimbursement and professional development assistance Support for certifications and career growth Life insurance Positive, team-oriented workplace culture
