Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for preschool children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Duties Bring student belongings to appropriate areas. Aid in organizing student dismissal. Aid in potty-training and independence building for students. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure safety by adhering to health guidelines, maintaining cleanliness, and practicing first aid and CPR when necessary. Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child welfare or safety promptly. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills. Knowledge of early childhood education principles including child development instruction and behavioral management. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; ongoing professional development in childhood development is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners to foster a collaborative learning environment. Understanding of mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and safety. Reliable transportation to and from work. 10-Panel Urine Drug Screen, Background Check, TB Test, and CPR/FirstAid Certification required. Additional Information Gray Summit Christian Preschool is a license-exempt religious preschool overseen by First Baptist Church of Gray Summit.
Pay:
$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week
