Early Childhood Teacher

Description Job Type Part-time St. Mark Catholic Church, Independence, MO, is hiring for an Early Childhood Teacher. The qualified candidate is competent with skills and strategies for a safe and caring learning environment and can design developmentally appropriate activities that maximize student competencies and skills for intellectual, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual growth. There are opportunities to work collaboratively with other teachers. Flexibility with schedule may be available depending on the school's needs and the position. Responsibilities Demonstrate professional responsibility in confidentiality, sound judgment, and dress. Manage and set high behavior standards within the classroom and building. Use a variety of methods to assess and monitor students' progress. Promote positive relationships and effective communication with all staff, parents, and students. Prepare and implement practical lessons using standards. Perform other duties as assigned by the building administration. Some care of a child's physical needs may occur. Requirements Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children Must consent to a background check and Code of Conduct Policy Must complete online or in-person training before hire.
