Job Description

Wildwood Montessori is seeking a dependable, caring, and engaged individual to join our team as a part-time Aftercare Teacher. Availability from 3:00-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday is required and firm . Additional hours may be available beginning as early as 2:00 p.m., depending on school needs and the candidate's availability. Our aftercare program serves a mixed-age group of children, ranging from toddlers through elementary students. The ideal candidate will be comfortable meeting the needs of children at different developmental stages and helping create a calm, safe, and enjoyable end to their school day.
Responsibilities:
Actively supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities Support a mixed-age group, including toddlers Prepare and supervise afternoon snack Assist younger children with restroom and personal-care needs Lead simple games, activities, and opportunities for creative play Encourage respectful interactions, independence, and age-appropriate behavior Maintain a clean, organized, and safe aftercare environment Communicate professionally with families and other staff members Complete end-of-day classroom and building responsibilities
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with children, including toddlers Dependable and able to work the required schedule consistently Patient, attentive, warm, and comfortable managing a mixed-age group Able to engage actively with children rather than supervise from the sidelines Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to complete a background screening and meet school employment requirements CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; training may be available To apply, please submit your resume through Indeed OR email info@wildwoodmontessorischool.com along with a brief introduction describing your childcare experience and availability.
Pay:
$15.25 - $16.25 per hour Expected hours: 12.5 - 17.5 per week
