Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, social skills, and overall child development. Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Provide attentive toddler care, ensuring safety, hygiene, and comfort for all children in your charge. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress and adhere to mandated reporting laws when necessary. Manage classroom activities efficiently through effective classroom management techniques and lesson planning. Support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services to ensure inclusive learning experiences. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting. Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management strategies, and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in early intervention or special education is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other preschool teaching philosophies is advantageous. Ability to follow standardized testing protocols and implement age-specific curriculum standards. Demonstrated understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety.
