Job Description

The Learning Circle is seeking candidates with extensive experience teaching i nfants and toddlers. We are looking to hire an experienced teacher committed to early education. We are building a school family of educators who put the needs of children first. Our teachers facilitate learning through play, offering opportunities for children to grow their confidence, autonomy, and problem-solving skills. Qualified candidates will be eager to learn new methods and capable of meeting our high standards.
Must be able to:
Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with school standards and play-based practice Follow developmentally appropriate teaching practices Foster children's social-emotional development through modeling and direct instruction Collaborate with assistant teachers to create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration Complete formal and informal assessments to monitor children's development and adapt teaching practices accordingly Communicate appropriately and knowledgeably with families about children's development Engage with children and facilitate learning through play Display classroom management skills, using proven strategies and best practice Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization, following state licensing and sanitation guidelines Physical requirements: Lift up to 50lbs, repeatedly Stand and walk for long periods Easily move between standing and sitting on the floor Perform various tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and participating in gross motor activities Background screening requirements: Must be able to pass a criminal background screening and fingerprinting process
