Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Child Care Assistant and play a vital role in nurturing, educating, and supporting young children in a safe and engaging environment. In this energetic position, you will assist lead teachers in delivering high-quality early childhood education, ensuring each child's developmental needs are met with enthusiasm and care. Your positive attitude and commitment will help create a welcoming space where children can thrive, learn, and grow. Duties Support classroom activities by helping implement age-appropriate lesson plans focused on childhood development and early learning concepts. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and promote positive behavior management. Assist with child supervision by monitoring individual needs, addressing behavioral challenges with patience, and fostering social skills. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns to build strong partnerships. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety standards. Support staff during classroom management tasks such as diapering, feeding, and administering basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary. Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in accordance with legal requirements. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development instruction principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (Childhood First Aid) or willingness to obtain upon hire. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to handle toddler care and infant care responsibly. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
