Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Float Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will serve as a versatile classroom professional, providing high-quality instruction and support across multiple classrooms and age groups. Your energetic approach will ensure that children receive engaging learning experiences while maintaining a warm, nurturing environment. The Float Teacher plays a crucial role in fostering early childhood development, supporting classroom staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to young learners' growth while gaining diverse classroom experience. Duties Cover different classrooms as needed, providing seamless transitions and consistent educational experiences for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers Implement age-appropriate curriculum development strategies that promote literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and overall child development Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior management techniques and fostering a respectful learning environment Collaborate with lead teachers on lesson planning, activity setup, and individualized instruction tailored to each child's developmental needs Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities to build strong home-school connections Assist with classroom routines such as snack time, nap schedules, diapering or potty training, and other childcare responsibilities Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure safety standards are upheld through first aid and CPR certification readiness Skills Experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including daycare or preschool environments Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education techniques Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment and child welfare regulations Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred Join us as a Float Teacher to make a meaningful difference in young children's lives!
