About us Best Love and Care Adult Day Club is a new day care facility located in the city of St. Louis, MO. We care and monitor up to 16 participants. We love caring for the elderly and seeking to hire someone with those same desires. This facility is a great environment to develop professionally.

Duties:

• This position requires someone who is passionate about the elderly or those who are informed. Currently we work with participants who are mentally and physically disabled.
• I need someone one that's not easily tempered, slow to anger.
• Not on your phone the entire time while on the clock, unless it's your break or lunch.
• Takes initiative and not always waiting to be told tasks.
• Bring new ideas and a beautiful smile each day to work, even when the feeling isn't there (Don't wear your attitude on the outside)
• The main focus is to ensure the participant is comfortable and has the feeling that the employee cares.
• Monitoring participants in everything they do to ensure safety at all times (clients can choke on food, have a bad reaction to something, have seizures or something worst where it requires us to provide medical attention and call 911.)
• Prepare coffee in the morning
• We cook 2 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and snack) Food is not to be eaten by the staff, you are responsible for bringing your own breakfast and lunch.
• Assist participants with the PC (Personal Computer) or with Correspondence they may not understand, assist with helping with paperwork, scheduling appointment.
• Find entertainment to watch on TV (Movie)
• Initiate playing game's, cross word puzzle and etc.

• We clean up and make sure we sanitize every day (sweeping, mopping,)
• Clean kitchenette, wiping down counter, microwave, flat grill and wash dishes
• Clean each restrooms including toilets and shining mirrors, sanitize door handles and faucets
• Empty trash cans and refill with trash bags
• Make sure we restock soap dispensers, toilet tissues and paper towels (inform management when low on items)
• We go on fieldtrips throughout month rather be to a food pantry, educational meetings or a fun day to trip.

Requires you to chaperone. Yes, you are to have fun, however OUR number

ONE PRIORITY

is the participant who's in our care until they leave and make it home.

• Listen to participants and plan activities and trips around what they'd like.
• Plan engaging, low-impact activities all can enjoy.
• Check email periodically.
• Answer phone in warm tone and keep check of missed calls.
• Enrolling participants in out day care program.
• Responsible for creating our monthly field trips.
• Creating individual monthly care plans.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with the Elderly and the infirm
• Minimum 2 years' experience working in an adult day care setting.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working in Office setting.
• Required to have 2-part TB Shot done.
• CPR/ First Aid Required.
• Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload at times.
• Ability to manage a classroom of adults and maintain a saft environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with elderly.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet any state licensing requirements for a daycare assistant.
