Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Bilingual Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. This role involves working 2 to 3 days per week, with the opportunity to take on additional days as needed. A pay differential is offered for willingness to cover additional days on short notice. The ideal candidate will be fluent or highly proficienct in French, Spanish, or Portuguese and passionate about fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children. Reliability and consistency are essential, as the role requires maintaining a regular schedule and providing coverage when necessary. Duties Implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote language development, social skills, and cognitive growth in a bilingual environment. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and independence among preschool children. Maintain consistent attendance on scheduled days (2-3 days per week), ensuring reliable presence to support children's routines and learning continuity. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute daily activities, adapt lessons as needed, and support individual student needs. Provide coverage on additional days if needed, with compensation adjustments for extra days or short-notice coverage. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom updates. Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with licensing regulations and best practices. Requirements Fluency or high proficiency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese is required. Prior experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred; relevant training or certification is a plus. On the job training will be provided for all. Demonstrated reliability in maintaining a consistent schedule of 2-3 days per week; flexibility to take on additional days if coverage is needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Passion for early childhood education and bilingual teaching methods. Ability to create an engaging, nurturing environment that supports young learners' development. Must be able to pass background checks and meet licensing requirements for early childhood educators. (SSN and work authorization required) Willingness to cross-train and provide coverage in other classrooms, if needed.
