Full Time M-F 8-4 About Us Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing poverty and strengthening communities by providing services and support to individuals and families throughout the Ozarks. OACAC Head Start provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, family support, and disability services to children ages birth through five and their families. Our team is committed to preparing children for success in school and life while building strong partnerships with families and the communities we serve. Position Overview OACAC Head Start is seeking motivated team members for the position of Child Aide . In this role, you will provide individualized, one-on-one support to a child by implementing learning activities and experiences designed to meet their unique developmental needs. Working alongside a collaborative team of teachers and support staff, you will help create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Work Schedule Schedule:
M-F 8:00-4:00
Hours Per Week:
40 Full-Time Key Responsibilities Provide individualized, one-on-one support to a child in the classroom Assist with implementing learning activities tailored to the child's developmental needs Work collaboratively with teachers to support classroom instruction and daily routines Assist in developing or modifying instructional materials to meet individual learning goals Support children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff Maintain confidentiality regarding child and family information Perform additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Experience working with young children Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Preferred Qualifications Early Childhood degree Copy of transcript required with application Required Skills and Abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Ability to maintain confidentiality Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Ability to adapt to individual learning needs Strong organizational and teamwork skills Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment Compensation Starting pay: $16.22 per hour
