Duties Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and developmentally appropriate for children's ages and needs Develop and implement creative curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, Montessori methods, and early childhood education principles Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff to promote effective classroom management and behavior management strategies Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns in a clear and compassionate manner Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols at all times Conduct assessments of children's developmental progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR standards Skills Extensive experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management, classroom management, and early intervention strategies Proficiency in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards such as Montessori or preschool teaching methodologies Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration Ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and hands-on activities aligned with child welfare standards Experience with classroom experience in daycare or private school settings is highly desirable Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, childhood development milestones, standardized testing procedures, and child safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification Ability to use Brightwheel app effectively and efficiently.
