Manage daily classroom activities with a focus on toddler care, behavior management, and child development instruction to support each child's unique needs. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns with professionalism and clarity. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child welfare and safety protocols. Foster a collaborative team environment by mentoring assistant teachers and supporting ongoing professional development in areas such as literacy education, Montessori methods, or special education strategies. Oversee classroom safety procedures including first aid and CPR readiness while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Experience Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools, specifically with toddlers aged 1-3 years old. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for early childhood education including literacy education, math fundamentals, physical education activities, and Montessori techniques. Strong background in classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior management and effective child welfare practices. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being. Experience collaborating with families through parent communication channels to support each child's developmental journey. Prior experience in preschool teaching or private school environments is preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials such as special education training or experience with early intervention programs are advantageous.
