Toddler Teacher Vibrant Kids Academy Position:
Toddler Teacher Schedule:
Full-Time or Part-Time; scheduled shifts between 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Position Summary Vibrant Kids Academy is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. The Toddler Teacher will support each child's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual development while maintaining a positive and welcoming classroom. Responsibilities Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for toddlers. Create and maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Plan and lead age-appropriate learning activities, play, crafts, music, movement, and other classroom experiences. Incorporate Bible stories, prayer, worship, and Christian values into the classroom in age-appropriate ways. Follow the daily classroom schedule, including meals and snacks, nap time, outdoor play, learning activities, and diapering/toileting routines. Supervise children closely and follow all safety and security procedures. Assist with diaper changes, potty training, handwashing, feeding, and other personal-care needs. Communicate professionally and positively with parents regarding their child's day, needs, and development. Maintain accurate daily records and communicate with families through the center's approved communication system. Work cooperatively with other teachers and staff and assist in other classrooms when needed. Follow all Vibrant Kids Academy policies and procedures as well as applicable childcare licensing requirements. Complete required training and professional development. Perform other duties related to the care and operation of the classroom as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Must meet all State of Mississippi requirements for employment in a licensed childcare facility. Must successfully complete all required background checks, fingerprinting, and other state-required screenings. Must complete and maintain all required training and certifications. Previous experience working with toddlers or young children is preferred, but not required. Must have a genuine love for children and a desire to help them learn and grow. Must be dependable, patient, caring, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Must communicate professionally and respectfully with children, parents, coworkers, and leadership. Must be willing to support the Christian mission, values, and standards of Vibrant Kids Academy. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to actively supervise and care for young children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, bending, standing, walking, lifting children and classroom materials, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities. Work Schedule Vibrant Kids Academy is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Teachers are scheduled for shifts within the center's operating hours based on classroom and staffing needs.
