Job Description

Position Summary CrossPoint Learning Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Teacher Assistant (Floater) to support our classrooms and teaching staff. This position serves children across multiple age groups, helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while providing assistance wherever needed throughout the center. The ideal candidate has a heart for children, enjoys working as part of a team, and desires to help train and guide children through the love and leadership of Jesus Christ. As a ministry of CrossPoint Church, we seek individuals who will model Christ-like character and support the spiritual, emotional, social, and physical development of every child in our care. Essential Responsibilities Float between classrooms as assigned to support teachers and meet staffing needs. Assist teachers with daily classroom activities, lessons, and transitions. Provide attentive and loving care for children of various ages. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest time, and special activities. Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and other age-appropriate care routines. Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. Model Christian values through words, actions, and interactions. Support classroom management and encourage positive behavior. Follow all state licensing regulations and CrossPoint Learning Center policies and procedures. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with children preferred but not required. Ability to work with children of various ages and developmental stages. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependable, flexible, and willing to serve where needed. Ability to lift, carry, and actively engage with young children throughout the day. Must successfully pass all required background checks and screenings. Desired Characteristics A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian values. A genuine love for children and passion for early childhood education. Positive attitude and servant-hearted spirit. Patience, kindness, and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs.
