In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that foster growth across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth through engaging activities. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and cooperative atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections. Conduct child development assessments and utilize standardized testing where appropriate to monitor progress and inform instruction. Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining first aid and CPR certifications, and following health protocols for daycare or preschool settings. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and special education or early intervention initiatives to support diverse learning needs. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is required. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, behavior management, and child welfare practices. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education is essential. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children enhances your ability to create well-rounded learning experiences. Familiarity with Montessori methods or preschool teaching approaches is preferred. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are necessary; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is highly valued. Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members while maintaining a positive learning environment.
