Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote infant development across cognitive, motor, social, and emotional domains. Provide attentive supervision and care to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards, including proper sanitation of toys and materials. Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure compliance with state regulations and best practices. Support infants with feeding, diapering, nap routines, and other individualized care needs based on family preferences. Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities that support early childhood development and foster positive behavior management. Requirements Prior experience working with infants in a daycare center or early childhood education setting is highly preferred. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in first aid is encouraged. Knowledge of childhood development principles, infant care techniques, and classroom management strategies. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members while demonstrating patience and empathy. Familiarity with special education practices or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
