Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor each child's growth in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and overall development. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate child development principles and foster a positive learning environment. Requirements Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; classroom experience is highly valued. Knowledge of early childhood education practices, including curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education strategies, early intervention programs, and childhood development instruction. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and teamwork within the educational community. Ability to adapt lesson plans for diverse learners, including toddlers care and preschool teaching methodologies such as Montessori approaches.
