Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Lead Pre-K Teacher to inspire young learners in a dynamic classroom setting. In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, foster positive behavior, and support the developmental needs of preschool children. Your leadership will ensure a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore, discover, and develop essential skills for future success. Responsibilities Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and active participation among young learners. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student development and incidents. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to maintain an organized and efficient classroom environment. Incorporate early intervention strategies to support children with special needs or developmental delays. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood education settings. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, child development instruction, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, behavior management, and early intervention programs. Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan lessons that integrate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare standards. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or preschool teaching are preferred. Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.0 - 40.0 per week
