Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a Preschool Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula that promote early childhood education, childhood development, and social-emotional growth. Your role will involve collaborating with colleagues, communicating effectively with families, and ensuring compliance with educational standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational learning experiences of preschool children while utilizing innovative teaching strategies and learning technology. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Utilize assessment-driven instruction techniques to monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, adjusting lessons accordingly. Manage classroom environments to promote positive behavior management, conflict resolution, and inclusive practices for children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or academic interventions. Collaborate regularly with fellow teachers to share best practices, participate in professional development, and contribute to a cohesive educational team. Incorporate learning technology and LMS (Learning Management Systems) to enhance instructional delivery and track student performance data effectively. Conduct ongoing student assessment and analyze performance data to tailor instructional strategies within frameworks such as Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Support children's social-emotional development through intentional teaching strategies, behavior management techniques, and parent communication. Skills The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree or an AAS in Early Childhood Education, or a closely related field. Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development theories, and Montessori or similar pedagogical approaches. Proven experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and instructional design for preschool-aged children. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Ability to conduct student assessments accurately and analyze quantitative data for evaluating student progress. Familiarity with special education practices, academic interventions, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for young learners. Experience working with children with disabilities or diverse learning needs; understanding of behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of educational compliance regulations and best practices in childcare settings; experience working in private or preschool environments is preferred.
