Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, manage classroom activities, and build strong relationships with children, families, and staff. Your energetic approach will help create a positive foundation for children's growth, learning, and social-emotional development. Duties Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and support holistic child development. Lead daily classroom activities that promote literacy, math skills, physical development, social-emotional learning, and early intervention strategies. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on children's progress, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to ensure high-quality instruction and consistent classroom management. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications. Assess individual child progress through observations, standardized testing where appropriate, and documentation to tailor instruction to each child's needs. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and curriculum development. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, special education practices, and literacy education. Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math, physical education, and other core subjects for preschool-aged children. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, staff, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in early childhood education or special education are preferred. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Ability to create an inclusive environment that supports diversity and promotes positive behavior management strategies.
