As a teacher at Catawba Ridge Child Development Center, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. You will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curricula and engaging activities that promote learning through play. At Catawba Ridge CDC, we allow children to have hands-on learning experiences. This fosters age appropriate development. We read to the children everyday. We believe that positive reinforcement is important for children to develop self-esteem. Children need an environment that supports free expression and stimulates learning. We opened in 1985 as a seven room 4500 square foot facility. By 1988 the demand for our services was such that we expanded to our current size of nineteen classrooms and over 13,000 square feet. We currently have space to enroll 250+ children, however our commitment to four star quality child development and low child-to-staff ratios will keep our enrollment under 200.At Catawba Ridge CDC, we believe that children need to have fun, because that is when they learn the best! We implement a curriculum that includes a variety of activities which integrate physical, intellectual, and social-emotional stimulation. This curriculum will provide developmentally appropriate activities which stimulate the child's growth.
