Teacher Responsibilities At Lightbridge Academy, our teachers create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We are looking for dependable, caring individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and committed to making a difference every day. Responsibilities Provide a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment. Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Supervise children at all times and respond to their individual needs. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities using the Seedlings Curriculum. Observe and document children's development. Use positive guidance techniques, including redirection and encouragement. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom. Follow all state licensing regulations and Lightbridge Academy policies. Communicate effectively with families during arrival, departure, and throughout the day. Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers. Be flexible and assist other classrooms when needed. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times. Attend required staff meetings and complete ongoing professional development. Arrive on time, maintain dependable attendance, and wear the required uniform. Qualifications Meet all Lightbridge Academy and state licensing requirements. Reliable, dependable, and professional. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Able to lift up to 35 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities. Comfortable using classroom technology, including iPads and Microsoft Office. Passionate about working with young children and creating a positive learning environment. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the operation of the center.
