Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum guidelines, emphasizing literacy, math, and social skills. Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and active learning through hands-on activities and play-based instruction. Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying positive behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and supportive atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and promote family engagement in the child's learning journey. Conduct ongoing assessments of children's developmental progress using standardized testing tools and observational techniques to tailor instruction accordingly. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety issues. Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid and CPR certifications. Qualifications Must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in early childhood. Currently working on a teacher's certificate. Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills. Knowledge of child development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education needs to support diverse learners. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education techniques suitable for preschool-aged children. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions among children. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred. Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive classrooms is highly desirable.
