Full Job Description Overview:

A Montessori Lead Guide, serves as the primary adult responsible for guiding children within a Montessori classroom setting, grounded in the philosophy developed by Maria Montessori. This role entails facilitating independent learning, observation, and development, rather than adhering to traditional teaching. Duties Complete the necessary trainings for this role if you do not hold a Montessori certification already. Strong understanding of childhood development stages, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Prior experience in private schools or daycare centers is preferred; familiarity with standardized testing and tutoring is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Lead Montessori Guide - Job Duties & Expectations Weekly Responsibilities Montessori Monday Communication (Every Monday):

Send a thoughtful and engaging "Montessori Monday" message to families sharing what the children will be working on throughout the week (academic focus, classroom highlights, and any special activities).

Daily Classroom Responsibilities:

Begin each morning with intentional instruction, starting with letter sounds, language work, and/or math during group time.

Prepared Environment:

Ensure all classroom materials are beautifully prepared, organized, and inviting before children arrive.

Craft & Activity Preparation:

Complete all craft and work prep prior to student arrival to allow full attention to the children during the day.

Individualized Lessons:

Provide small group and one-on-one lessons based on each child's developmental needs and progress.

Classroom Management:

Maintain a calm, respectful, and nurturing classroom that reflects Montessori principles.

Observation & Assessment:

Observe students daily and adjust lessons to support their growth academically, socially, and emotionally.

Family & Team Communication:

Maintain open, warm, and professional communication with families. Share updates, progress, and concerns in a timely and respectful manner. Work collaboratively with assistants and administration to support the classroom and school community.

General Professional Expectations:

Model, grace, courtesy, and respect at all times. Foster independence, confidence, and love of learning in each child. Uphold Montessori philosophy in tone, practice, and classroom environment. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Pay:

$17.00 - $18.50 per hour
