In person About the Position Pam's School of Raleigh, a five-star childcare center, is seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our team. The Lead Pre-K Teacher will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where young children can learn, explore, and grow. This position is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to supporting each child's individual development. The ideal candidate will provide developmentally appropriate instruction, build positive relationships with children and families, and work collaboratively with fellow educators to create enriching learning experiences. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, mathematics, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, incorporating a balanced combination of play, instruction, exploration, and hands-on learning. Provide developmentally appropriate instruction that supports each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Maintain a positive classroom environment using effective behavior-management strategies that encourage respect, cooperation, independence, and positive social skills. Communicate regularly with parents and families regarding children's progress, developmental milestones, classroom activities, and special events. Maintain accurate and timely records of student development, assessments, and classroom incidents. Follow all applicable mandated-reporting requirements and child-safety regulations. Collaborate with special education and early-intervention teams to support children who may require additional services or individualized support. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming classroom in accordance with health and safety regulations. Follow all childcare center policies and state licensing requirements. Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and families to provide high-quality care and education. Qualifications 4- year degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or daycare setting. Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred. Strong classroom-management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment. Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate teaching practices. Experience developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with children, families, and fellow educators. Familiarity with behavior-management strategies, child-welfare practices, and inclusive classroom environments. Knowledge of mandated-reporting requirements related to child safety and welfare. Ability to plan engaging activities that support early literacy, mathematics, physical development, and social-emotional growth. Required Certifications & Documentation Current criminal background check. Current medical examination and TB screening. Current SIDS certification. Current CPR certification. Credentials 1 & 2 / EDU 119 certification required. Child Development Associate (CDA) certification preferred. CPR certification required.
