Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with experience in curriculum development, classroom management, and child development instruction. This role involves guiding children through foundational learning experiences, supporting their social and emotional growth, and collaborating with parents to ensure each child's success. The Preschool Teacher will play a vital role in shaping the early educational journey of our students, promoting curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula tailored to preschoolers' developmental stages. Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, instruction, and assessment of student progress. Utilize effective behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions among children. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and other core subjects into daily lessons. Support children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services by adapting instructional methods accordingly. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe environment. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other documentation as required. Collaborate with colleagues to plan school-wide activities and participate in ongoing professional development. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with children across diverse backgrounds, including toddlers and preschoolers. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to implement standardized testing procedures when applicable to assess student progress. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. First aid and CPR certification is preferred or required for emergency preparedness. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is advantageous.
