Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an As Needed/Floater childcare professional, where your flexibility and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will provide high-quality supervision and care across various classroom settings, stepping in wherever needed to ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with children of different ages, from infants to preschoolers, while gaining diverse experience in early childhood education and childcare operations. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help maintain a vibrant learning atmosphere that promotes growth, development, and joy. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across multiple classrooms or age groups as assigned Support classroom activities that foster child development, including play, learning exercises, and social interactions Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, nap time, and transitions to ensure comfort and safety Implement behavior management strategies aligned with program guidelines to promote positive behavior Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns or updates Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards including first aid and CPR protocols Collaborate with teaching staff to support individualized learning plans and classroom management efforts Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required or will be provided upon hire Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members in a professional manner This role is ideal for compassionate individuals passionate about early childhood development who thrive in flexible environments.
