At Miss Tammy's Little Learning Center, we believe the early years are some of the most important years of a child's life, and our teachers have the incredible opportunity to help make those years special. For more than 30 years, families have trusted Miss Tammy's to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging place for children to learn and grow. Now, we're looking for caring and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teachers to join our team! As a Miss Tammy's teacher, you won't simply supervise children.
You'll:
Help children build confidence and independence Encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning Make learning fun through hands-on activities and play Support each child's social, emotional, and developmental growth Celebrate the little victories and big milestones Build meaningful relationships with children and their families Create memories that children, and their families, will remember Our teachers use developmentally appropriate curriculum, hands-on learning, Creative Curriculum, and Conscious Discipline strategies to create classrooms where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. As part of our teaching team, you will: Create a warm, welcoming, and secure classroom environment Plan and participate in engaging, age-appropriate learning activities Encourage learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences Introduce early concepts in literacy, math, science, music, movement, and physical development Get to know each child and support their individual needs and development Encourage positive social-emotional development through guidance and connection Communicate respectfully and regularly with families Observe, document, and celebrate developmental milestones Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and center staff Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training Continue growing your skills as an early childhood professional We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and responsible Patient, positive, and encouraging Energetic and enthusiastic about working with children A team player who works well with others Comfortable communicating with children, families, and coworkers Genuinely passionate about helping young children learn and grow Applicants must have: High school diploma or equivalent Ability to successfully complete required background screening Ability to lift up to 35 pounds Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, and frequently move between standing and floor-level activities You do not have to have years of experience to become part of our team. We value people who are willing to learn, grow, and bring a caring heart to the classroom.
We do prefer:
Previous childcare or early childhood experience EDU 119 or other early childhood coursework An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Whether you're an experienced childcare professional or just beginning your career in early childhood education, we want to help you become the best teacher you can be.
Pay:
$14.50 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
