Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool and early childhood development standards Facilitate interactive lessons that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional planning Maintain accurate documentation of lesson plans, student records, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws Skills Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques Familiarity with behavior management strategies Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations EDU 119 Credentials preferred, but not required Qualifying letter from NCDCDEE required (criminal background check) Embark on a rewarding journey where your teaching skills help shape bright futures!
