School Director Job Summary:

We are seeking a warm, dependable, and dedicated Montessori Assistant Teacher to join our Toddler (ages 12 - 24 month) classroom. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and is eager to support the Lead Teacher in creating a calm, respectful, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment where young children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Lead Teacher in facilitating a prepared environment aligned with Montessori principles Gently guide and assist children in developing independence, concentration, and social-emotional skills Observe children's behavior and work habits and report observations to the Lead Teacher Encourage and model grace and courtesy throughout the classroom day Assist with classroom management while respecting the child's autonomy Prepare, clean, and maintain Montessori materials and classroom order Supervise children during work cycles, outdoor play, snacks, meals, rest time, and transitions Foster a safe, nurturing atmosphere where each child feels seen and respected Communicate positively and professionally with colleagues and families Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as required

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Experience working with toddler aged in a group setting preferred Familiarity with or interest in Montessori philosophy Patient, calm, and respectful demeanor; strong observational and listening skills Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from the
