Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 6 weeks to 10 years. Part-time and full-time hours available. In this vital role, you will support children's developmental needs through attentive supervision, educational activities, and compassionate caregiving. Your energetic approach will foster positive growth, encourage curiosity, and promote healthy social interactions. Duties Provide attentive supervision for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, creativity, and social skills. Ensure the safety of children at all times by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a secure environment. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with best practices and health guidelines. Apply behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and resolve conflicts effectively. Maintain detailed records of children's activities, health concerns, and developmental milestones as required by licensing standards. Qualifications Proven experience in a licensed childcare facility. Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education/Development. 3 credit hour course completed in a relevant area (early childhood education, psychology, etc.) is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in First Aid and CPR. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable to support inclusive care. Strong child supervision skills combined with the ability to plan engaging activities tailored to various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering a positive learning environment.
