Job Description
Childcare Assistant Teacher We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Childcare Assistant Teacher to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of a supportive, hands-on childcare environment. Position Overview The Assistant Teacher will work alongside the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, positive, and comfortable jumping in wherever needed throughout the day. Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom routines, activities, and transitions Supervise children and ensure their health, safety, and well-being throughout the day Engage children in play, learning activities, outdoor time, and group experiences Assist with meals, snacks, toileting/diapering, rest time, and other daily care routines Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Support positive behavior and age-appropriate social-emotional development Build warm and respectful relationships with children and families Follow all center policies, procedures, and state childcare licensing requirements Work cooperatively with teachers, administration, and other staff members Be dependable, punctual, and willing to help where needed Qualifications Must enjoy working with young children and have a patient, caring attitude Previous childcare experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates who are eager to learn Must be dependable and able to work well as part of a team Ability to meet all state childcare licensing and background check requirements CPR/First Aid certification is a must , or willingness to acquire certification upon hire.
