POSITION SUMMARY
Supports the work of Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Builds members and the community's understanding of the YMCA's impact. This position creates a safe, enjoyable, culturally aware, and positive environment that promotes wellness and engagement following YMCA policies and procedures. Provides quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Builds personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests. While exemplifying the Y's commitment to the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect & responsibility and responds to all member and community inquiries promptly. Helps with implementing curriculum within the established guidelines. You must be dependable and build consistency and stability in the classroom for the children in your care. Full-time dependability is crucial to this role. Helps with supervising the children, classroom, and activities at all times. Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child. Maintains program site and equipment. Helps with keeping required program records. Attends and takes part in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training (18 hours per year) Fulfills any functions?appointed?by the YMCA administration.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Meets educational and experience qualifications established by childcare licensing. At least 18 years of age. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date. Health form completed within 30 days of hire date. At least 1 year of experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
Compensation details:
