Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Afternoon Childcare Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and instruction to children during afternoon hours, fostering their development through playful learning, positive interactions, and structured activities. Your energy and passion will help children thrive while supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills during afternoon hours Implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including preschool and toddler care programs Ensure the safety and well-being of all children through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols such as pediatric first aid and CPR Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily experiences, progress, and any concerns or updates Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and development Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques and behavior management strategies Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting any incidents or concerns related to child safety or well-being Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development instruction, childhood development milestones, and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid is required; ongoing training is encouraged Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a nurturing environment for toddlers and preschoolers Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to adhere to all safety regulations, including mandated reporting laws and health protocols Demonstrated caregiving skills with patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with young children Embark on a fulfilling journey where your dedication shapes bright futures! Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 25.0 per week
