BRIEF OVERVIEW DESCRIPTION

We are looking to add three Full-Time PreK 3 or PreK 4 Teachers to our Team for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a provider school partnered with the Bayonne Board of Education. Salary ranges based on experience, starting at 63K per year. We use a district salary scale for annual increases. As the employer I pay 100% of the employees Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance. Additionally, we offer 50k in life insurance at no cost to the employee and the option to enroll in our 401K program after 1 year of employment with a 2.5% employer match program. FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

The teacher is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that foster the cognitive, emotional, and physical growth of young children, including children with special needs. The teacher must ensure that the classroom and classroom staff follow regulations set forth in the High Scope standards, licensing requirements, and the employee handbook. Teacher is responsible for written and oral communication with the director which includes weekly lesson plans, attendance, COR reports, screenings, and other written reports.

Additional Responsibilities:

Ensure classroom and playground safety Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of children using the High Scope Curriculum. Attend orientation, open house, staff meetings, parent/teacher conferences, Teacher Tuesday meetings. Keep classroom clean and orderly Instruct children in self-help skills such as toilet training and proper handwashing Communicate with parents on their child's individual progress and development Identify child's needs and work with other staff members in assessing and helping children progress Ensures teacher assistant is included in planning classroom lessons Plan for routines so that they occur in a timely, predictable manner according to each child's needs Use a variety of strategies to promote and support children's learning based on daily formal and informal observations and on-going assessments of each child. Communicate with children by using effective questioning, listening carefully and speaking to children at eye level.
