The successful candidate will provide a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes the academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth of preschool children.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with the school district's Early Childhood Education curriculum.
• Create and maintain a safe, positive, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Evaluate and document students' academic, social, emotional, and developmental progress.
• Maintain student records, attendance, classroom portfolios, and required program documentation.
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents/caregivers and conduct required parent conferences.
• Provide guidance and direction to the Teacher Assistant and assist with supervision of classroom volunteers.
• Adapt activities and instruction to meet the individual needs and interests of students.
• Encourage parent/caregiver participation in their child's education.
• Establish and maintain appropriate standards of student behavior and classroom management.
• Demonstrate cultural competency and respect for all children and families.
• Collaborate with the District's Master Teacher, Social Worker, Center administration, and Early Childhood Education team.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, mealtimes, field trips, and other school activities.
• Attend required staff meetings, professional development, Open House, and school programs.
• Follow all mandated reporting, health, safety, and licensing requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a Center supervisor.
