Job Description
Overview The Goddard School located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ is looking for a motivated self-starter for an Assistant Director position at our School. Candidates must have strong customer service skills, excellent communication, a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education. Job Responsibilities Assisting with the oversight and management of school operations, including but not limited to educational programming, relationship building, faculty training & development, quality assurance and marketing Ensuring classroom implementation of curriculum/enrichment programs, and adherence to the School's standards of excellence Developing strong relationships with our families through interactive parent communication, proactive follow-through on concerns, incidents and requests, and ensuring mechanisms are in place to foster that home-school connection Maintaining compliance with our quality assurance standards and state licensing requirements, including the management of records and documentation Managing marketing activities, including monthly newsletters, coordinating family engagement events, social media channels with content capture, etc. Spearheading the planning, coordination and execution of all events (such as field trips, guests, open houses, graduation, sponsorships, etc) and enrichment programs. Job Requirements All candidates who wish to be considered must meet all the following criteria: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field; alternate degrees paired with 18 semester hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8 will also be considered A minimum of 2 years experience in a childcare center or preschool Strong customer service orientation Excellent verbal and written communication skills Genuinely nice with a positive attitude and inherent love for young children Organized with the ability to multitask Detail oriented We offer competitive compensation and benefits, based on experience, education and certifications, and are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
