Come be apart of our new established early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher. In this dynamic role, you will create a nurturing, engaging environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and social-emotional development. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire children to explore, discover, and develop essential skills through innovative lessons and compassionate guidance. About the Role Funding from the state of New Jersey Universal Preschool expansion, and in partnership with the Flemington-Raritian school district, the universal preschool teachers for the Flemington Kid Care & Learning Center is responsible for teaching subject matter in accordance with Tools of the Mind , DOE guidelines and Office of Licensing. Must have a personality that is kind, caring, has patience, smiles alot, has fun, enjoys getting messy, is creative. must have the ability to provide stability for the program continuity and must be flexible to work between the hours of 8:15am-4:00pm What you will
Do:
Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating early childhood education standards, literacy education, math, gross motor, fine motor, social and emotional skills Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management and classroom management strategies Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and tailor instruction to individual needs, including special education. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, cognitive development, motor skills, and emotional regulation Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written reports Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and mandated reporting laws compliance Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary lessons and participate in ongoing professional development focused on childhood development instruction and teaching best practices Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings with classroom experience in early childhood education Strong knowledge of child development principles, classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and standardized testing methods Expertise in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education Ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulation Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons through lesson planning that fosters curiosity and learning in young children
Qualifications:
Must be able to submit college transcripts along with a valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate with the teaching endorsement (P-3) Ability to work within procedures effectively and manage several task concurrently to meet deadlines Ability to corroborate flexibility with collaborative team of staff members and volunteers
Pay:
$63,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
