Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Home Daycare Substitute for a long-term position at the end of March for about 12+ weeks to provide exceptional care and early childhood education in a home-based setting. As a substitute, you will step into the role seamlessly, maintaining consistency and high-quality care in the absence of the primary caregiver. Responsibilities Supervise children in a home daycare environment, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and development in line with child development instruction principles Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to early childhood growth Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong parent-caregiver relationships Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly Administer basic first aid and pediatric first aid when necessary, responding swiftly to minor injuries or health issues Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and nurturing atmosphere Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development stages and early childhood education best practice Hands-on experience with child supervision, classroom management, and caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting Familiarity with infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities to support diverse age groups within the daycare setting Understanding of daycare center operations, including health & safety protocols and parent communication strategies Certification in first aid and CPR (Childhood Development First Aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus Join us in creating a warm, safe, and enriching environment where children can thrive!
