Job Description
Afternoon Teacher Assistant 2 PM
•4:30/4:45PM, Monday
•Friday This position is a part time afternoon position only. We are seeking after care assistants to supervise and play with children. Candidates must be available at least 3, or preferably 5 days/ week, for 2:00-4:30/4:45pm. Must be at least 18 years of age. This opportunity works perfectly with a school schedule or for someone that prefers afternoon hours for extra income. There are no weekend or evening hours. Beechwood School is a family owned, long standing, single site child care center serving children 2-1/2
•6 years old in Haddonfield, NJ. Beechwood School is interviewing candidates to supervise our preschool children during weekday afternoons. Do you like being with preschool children? Do you need a late afternoon job opportunity that will fulfill your needs and fit into your daily schedule? Are you available to work from 2PM
•4:30PM, three or preferably five days per week? All afternoon staff work in teams with approximately 8-12 preschool children. Candidates will be involved with classroom supervision, as well as, story time, games, art projects, snack, playground time, etc. Perfect position for high school seniors or college students. There is some flexibility possible to work around class schedules. Interested candidates should send cover letter with resume & 3 professional references.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 High School diploma or GED Or high school senior with experience supervising young children Active, physically fit older adults welcome Available to work 3-5 afternoons per week 2-4/5pm Be reliable, punctual, friendly, patient and energetic Good communication skills Good physical condition
•able to lift, sit on the floor & ability to move quickly Experience with young children, preferably in a group situation. Knowledge of child development Be reliable, punctual, friendly, patient and energetic Be able to attend occasional staff meetings and training sessions CPR preferred
