Job Summary The Mt. Airy Happy Time School in Lambertville, NJ (West Amwell Township) is currently seeking a part-time to full-time hire for our Infant and Toddler Room. Ideally a candidate who can be cross trained in each room. Join our vibrant early childhood education staff as an Infant & Toddler Teacher Teacher, where your passion for nurturing and educating the youngest learners will shine! Our Infant Room is a 1:4 ratio with children aged six week to 18 months. Our Toddler Room has children aged 18 months to 2.5 years old. In this role, you will assist in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants, fostering their growth through attentive care, structured activities, and positive interactions. Your dedication will help lay a strong foundation for each child's social, emotional, and cognitive development while ensuring compliance with all safety and caregiving standards. This position at Happy Time offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the critical early years of a child's life. Must be able to clear all New Jersey CHRI (Criminal History Record Information) and CARI (Child Abuse Record Information) requirements before beginning classroom training. Job Summary Provide attentive, loving care to our infants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times. Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development including motor skills, language acquisition, and social interaction. Our facility uses Creative Curriculum. Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to inform ongoing care strategies. Daily sheets are required for each child, each day. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards in line with our childcare regulations. Cleaning sheets are filled out daily for classroom staff. Collaborate with staff and families to support each child's individual needs and routines. Follow health and safety protocols diligently, including administering first aid when necessary and managing allergies or medical concerns. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and fostering a nurturing atmosphere. Experience Knowledge of the New Jersey Office of Licensing, Manual of Requirements is preferred, but not required. Prior experience working with infants or in a daycare setting is highly preferred, but not required. Experience with classroom management techniques tailored to infants and toddlers. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in early childhood education are advantageous. We will provide the appropriate training. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff members in a dynamic environment.
